This 1948 Spartan Manor is a single-axle travel trailer that was refurbished and modified following the seller’s acquisition in 2012. The project involved shortening the length to 18′, refinishing the exterior, installing a bathroom, and replacing the axle, flooring, plumbing, and electrical system. The floor plan features a dinette, a kitchenette, a wet bath bathroom, and a rear bedroom, while amenities include a Coleman air conditioner with an integrated heater, a Dixie propane range, a stainless-steel sink, a Galanz refrigerator, a demand water heater, and a memory foam mattress. Mechanical equipment consists of shore connections, a freshwater tank, waste tanks, dual propane tanks, and a power-operated tongue jack. This modified Spartan Manor is offered with an awning, a yellow California license plate, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Spartan travel trailers were produced by the Spartan Aircraft Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma, between 1945 and 1962, and their designs were influenced by aircraft construction techniques. The body of this example was reportedly shortened and painted silver under current ownership, while a maroon vinyl stripe with Spartan graphics was also applied. Details include eight windows, a camp-side entry door with a porthole window, storage compartments, an LED porch light, a 120-volt power outlet, and a removable side-mounted table.

The single-axle chassis rolls on black-painted steel wheels wearing Maxmiler GT tires. Stopping power is provided by electrically actuated drum brakes. The frame is said to have been shortened during the refurbishment, and the chassis is equipped with a power-operated tongue jack. Infrastructure equipment includes a freshwater tank and pump, gray water and black tanks, two tongue-mounted propane tanks, a house battery, and shore connections for water, waste disposal, and 30-amp electrical service.

The interior was refreshed during the refurbishment and is outfitted with woodgrain paneling, Marmoleum flooring, curtains, wall sconces, and overhead lighting. Work performed under current ownership reportedly involved insulating the walls and ceiling as well as replacing the mattress, plumbing, and electrical system. The dinette features panoramic windows, bench seating upholstered in red vinyl and pattern-print cloth, and a folding table that can be configured as a sleeping area.

The kitchenette is equipped with a stainless-steel sink, a Galanz 120-volt refrigerator, a Dixie four-burner range, and residential-style power outlets. A laminate countertop has been fitted, and storage consists of overhead compartments, drawers, and under-counter cabinets. House equipment includes a ceiling-mounted Coleman Mach air conditioner with an integrated heater, a power-operated ceiling vent, a WFCO power distribution center/battery charger, a demand water heater, and a CD stereo with Bose speakers.

The rear bedroom features a memory foam full mattress, a flat-screen TV, a sliding rear window, roll-up side windows, and under-bed storage. The adjacent wet-bath bathroom is said to have been installed under current ownership and is equipped with a toilet as well as a shower with a tethered sprayer.
