Description
Very few of these 1951 Roadmaster travel trailers are known to exist. With its distinctive skylights, unusual design, and two-tone green exterior, Roadie is a rare piece of vintage trailer history.
Approximately 21 feet and 3-4000 pounds.
Originally built with Masonite siding, the trailer was later restored with aluminum to better withstand the coastal climate. Much of its original character remains, including the lighting, stove, and refrigerator. The stove grates have been re-porcelained, and both the stove and refrigerator work.
Roadie was originally built without holding tanks or a bathroom. However, the shaving-sink area offers room to add a bathroom without eliminating the existing closet.
This trailer has been towed thousands of miles and has current registration. It also includes full propane bottles, hand-striped details, a Marti’s awning, and jack stands.
Adding to its story, Roadie was featured in an upcoming movie about Johnny Cash that has not yet been released.
This is a rare opportunity to own a road-tested vintage trailer that can be enjoyed at rallies, shows, and camping trips—not simply displayed as a collector’s piece.
The last two photos are on set for the movie.
No bathroom or a/c but both could be added.
