1947 Higgins Pop Up Camp Trailer, Rare completely refurbished

Rare 1947 Higgins Popup Camp Trailer. Manufactured by entrepreneur A.J. Higgins who was an industrial manufacturer working with lightweight aluminum post World War II. Higgins was one of the original contract manufacturers to the US Government building landing craft during World War II. He applied his talents towards building small, expandable tent trailers which he manufactured only in 1946 and 1947. Higgins camp trailers are extremely rare and collectible. This trailer is only one of a few left in existence and none are in better shape than this one.

This is a 1947 Higgins was purchased new and solely owned by the same family for three generations. It has been handed down over the years and now it is time for the trailer to find a new home. It has been completely refurbished. It has been powder coated and buffed to the original aluminum shine. It has the original re chromed hub caps. New tires with less than 1000 miles on them and new wheel bearings.
The canvas is new and was replaced by Blackfoot Canvas and Supply in Blackfoot, Idaho. It has all four original corner jacks as well as a functioning intact interior ice box. It comes with new memory foam mattresses and has fly netting on all windows and doors. It has an aftermarket tongue jack installed and the trailer is fully wired for towing.
