1947 Manor! Incredible barn find! Been sitting in a barn since 1967. Not only sitting in barn, but maintained while in the barn! This is by far the most preserved Spartan I have ever seen!!!! Incredible! All original birch is incredible and still shiney!!! OMG! Fridge is incredible! Stove is incredible! Electric works! Even the golden vintage carpet is still in good shape! I do have the other wheel skirt. The body is incredible! I have several dreams on how to add a soaking tub and toilet as this model didn’t have a bathroom. I can discuss and add those things if buyer wishes. Located in Gallup NM. I can deliver anywhere in the country. Free delivery first 500 miles. Clean title. $25,000. It needs a few things still but is absolutely incredible and should go into a museum. Again, this is the most well preserved spartan I have ever seen. Maybe that even exists! Located in Gallup NM. I can deliver this trailer anywhere in the country. First 500 miles free. I have excellent delivery references to lots of Spartans I have delivered in the past.

1947 Spartan Manor

Welcome to this Spartan Manor from 1947! We do have lots of technical information that I could tell you about but you can find that in a more detailed write up – instead, I’m going to take you on quick and fun tour of this gem!

Let’s start at the ground. Original Spartans weren’t polished at all but this one has been given a pretty good shine.

During renovation we removed the trailer body and frame so that we could evaluate everything that needed attention – as you can see we painted the propane tanks and wheel rims the “Spartan” red that is used in all the logo paraphernalia.

On entering you can immediately see all the new custom cabinetry – beginning with the screen door and shiny new copper screen - the paneling is natural birch plywood along with the cabinetry and other wood work is also birch. We have kept to the original layout of a 1947 Spartan and reused hardware such as cabinet hinges and pulls. All the doors and drawers are constructed with the original style. We couldn’t possible not keep the original wall sconce lighting which, by the way, is made to be dual voltage.

Walls and ceiling are well insulated with fiberglass. Additionally, the ceiling has a reflective membrane called Energy Q which will keep you from roasting on summer days.

Although not in the original, we did add a new air conditioner which is a welcome addition in the summer. The refrigerator came from an Airstream, the same vintage as this Spartan. It is made by Marvel works perfectly the marvel (ous) thing, I think, about the fridge is that when you don’t have electricity, it is designed to take a block of ice that, as it melts, drains out onto the ground.

One of our favorite things, and in keeping with things nostalgic, we have installed an old but completely safe and functioning gas light so that if for some reason one finds themselves completely out of electricity, you at least still have light so long as you have gas. The stove, which had been completely refurbished, is the original Coleman brand and works perfectly. In the interest of safety, the oven has been disabled.

We added a new anodized aluminum shower stall with a new loo made by Dometic. The shower stall is made of buck riveted anodized aluminum and not plastic to keep with the ‘riveting’ feel!

Curtain and rods are hand made to last. Bug screen is bronze as it was in the original Manors, and the door screen is made of solid birch. The table is made for this camper and is a bit smaller when all leaves are up. It too is made of solid birch legs and apron with a birch veneer top and leaves edge banded with solid birch.

The bed mattress is a bit larger than full but a bit less than queen. It is custom made from organic materials and sits on top of a massive amount of under bed storage without the dust bunnies. Storage is accessed by simply lifting the plywood and mattress and up it comes and stays with the help of a couple healthy gas struts.

All new pex water pipe, ABS and PVC drain and waste. There is a black water tank, dump connection and valve. However, there is not a gray water tank but instead a portable tank to catch the water - Hot water is “on demand” at a rate of 1.6 gal per minute (at sea level). There is a 35 gallon water tank and a 12v pump on board should you not have city water available.

The furnace is a 25,000BTU Suburban which will keep you nice and toasty provided your travels don’t take you to the arctic.

As for weight and pulling…originally these girls came out of the factory weighing a very slim 3700 lbs. Incredible! “Maid Marion” did gain a bit of weight in the renovation as she now weighs 4200 lbs (a 15% gain) with two full bottles of propane and an air conditioner and a massive 12v battery. I wish I had only gained 15% since I “left the factory”. We pull our ‘46 with an extended cab Power Stroke pickup (6800 lbs.) and need no stabilizing devices. It pulls like a rocket and this one does as well. No swaying, no wiggle, no nothing. It may be necessary to have some kind of a sway device should you have a lighter weight vehicle. The tongue weight is 615 lbs. Again, no need for additional stuff on our pickup but your vehicle may need something.

So…what do you say? Do you need a beautiful little classic home that you can go places in, turn heads with, and live in indefinitely? This may be an excellent option.

We try and keep our renovations close to the original but more usable and even more enjoyable, while still capturing most of the original nostalgia.

This 1947 Spartan Manor is a complete "body off" modern upgrade. I have just reduced the price by $10,000 as I must sell!
My demolition team gutted the entire interior to the base shell aluminum frame. Our design and install team at Stash Design meticulously designed a custom interior for maximum functionality and hand crafted a complete reimagining of the trailer for a truly modern design. Complete base frame interior spray foam installation to seal for moisture and energy loss mitigation, new lightweight wall panel and electrical install with multiple outlets, custom recessed puck lighting and color adjustable galley lighting. All new HVAC package, hardware, repurposed maple hardwood floors and trim, window and frames replacement, artisan wall paper and custom bathroom with full size commode, teak slat elevated bathroom deck, shower and sink with custom tile. Kitchen galley with stainless steel sink, facet and hardwood counter top space for your choice of two burner stove or full size air fryer. Dual ceiling exhaust fans. Battery package located under front galley seating storage area. Back galley storage under seating area.
Marshall amplifier ice maker and fridge, repurposed hardwood table tops with telescoping hydraulic table stands for front and back galley tables. Two sleeping/dining configurations in both front and back of the trailer for mixed hospitality use. Custom stain repellant seating cushions front and rear. Reinforced tow frame and tow signal electrical. Authentic Spartan Manor decal package. She's 27 feet long tip to tail.

I've been blessed to have worked in rock radio and the concert business for decades, working with the biggest names in the business, so I dubbed her "The Troubadour" to celebrate my travels over a 45 year career in rock, blues, jazz and soul. If only her walls could talk!

Here’s your chance to own a beautifully preserved piece of American craftsmanship. This 1950s Spartanette is nearly all original and shines like a gem—literally, with a polished exterior and polished bathroom/shower. Original Marmoleum floors, stunning birch interior, and classic Spartan furniture (yes, the original couch, chair, and table are still here!) make this trailer a time capsule of mid-century style.

Third owner—you could be the fourth. It still has the original owner’s manual and the fridge warranty paperwork! Recent updates include brand-new tubeless tires, wheels, brakes, and axles for safe towing. The water heater has been replaced, but otherwise this Spartanette stays true to its roots: a park model without 12-volt wiring or holding tanks—just like it was built.

Crafted by the Spartan Aircraft Company, this trailer shares design DNA with vintage aircraft. With a full kitchen (including dual farm sink), dining and living rooms, full bath, and space to sleep four, it’s more than a trailer—it’s a home.

1951 Royal Spartanette

Fully rebuilt with great care to keep the original character, this Spartan has been modernized in all the right ways. The original cabinetry has been restored and upgraded to conceal a TV and a Marantz stereo system powering three 9" Klipsch copper speakers overhead, plus a 16" speaker tucked into the first cabinet. Suburban 35000 BTU heater.

The plumbing system is exceptional: dual dedicated hot and cold water pumps on a hidden switch, a matching GPM tankless water heater, and all-new PEX with SharkBite fittings. The trailer carries 200 gallons of holding tanks—two 40-gallon fresh, two 40-gallon grey, and one 40-gallon black (never used). All are properly vented and were custom-built, with modified rails to accommodate them. The shower was sandblasted and repainted in its original “safety green.” Holding tanks like these are almost unheard of in a Spartan—this setup is truly engineered.

The goal of the build was to make it look like an untouched survivor, as if someone just got incredibly lucky. But behind that look is serious machinery.

The original Frigidaire is fitted with a new relay and runs flawlessly—said to be good for another 70 years. The rare Dixie stove is a showpiece: gauges re-sealed, new chrome and porcelain, fully functioning clock and timer, plus two lights (oven and canopy).

A large commercial truck battery sits under the countertop for easy access. Tires and brakes are new with roughly 1,000 miles on them. The bedroom features a brand-new Beautyrest full-size firm mattress. A full-length awning—never used—is still in the bag. Additional upgrades include a hard-wired backup camera (RCA cable), a Joybird hide-a-bed, and custom curtains made with period-correct fabric.

This is a one-of-a-kind Spartan—restored to look original, but built like a modern machine.
