I’m selling my beloved Spartan. This beauty is 76 years old but still looks like a teenager.

Spartan trailers were manufactured in Tulsa, Oklahoma after WWII, in part to use the technology they knew from building aircraft during the war. The same basic methods were used to build these top rated trailers. Aluminum frames with aluminum siding held on with rivets just like the planes.
Made from the mid 1940’s until 1961. The first prototype was made in the summer of 1945. Spartan Aircraft was owned by J. Paul Getty, he was out to produce the best product on the market and spared no expense in building these classic trailers.

She’s been restored/refurbished from the frame up starting in 2014 and completed April 2015.
We travelled over 10,000 miles with our Spartan in 2021. We continue to enjoy taking it camping.

Some of the things to know:
The Manor-Tandem is one of the lowest production of the Spartans. Most Manors were the single axle models but a very few were given 2 axles (therefore Tandem). The Tandems tow much better with less tongue weight too.

Everything works as it should. All lights work and I’ve added an LED taillight strip which includes a backup light.
New Aluminum propane tanks, polished at the same time as I polished the trailer in 2021
Always garage kept, washed in soft warm water too
Inside done in Mid-Century Modern
Licensed and registered in my name at my home in Idaho. It is now ready to go camping.
