Registration

How much does it cost to register?

Nothing. Registration is FREE.

Do I have to register to use the site?

No. You can browse and search for ads without registering. You should still register, to save time, as the site will remember various preferences for you. If you want to create ads, you will need to register. When you register, they are sent an email to validate their registration. Click the link in the email to approve and activate the account.

Are there any advantages to registering on the site?

Absolutely. You may receive email notifications when trailers matching your saved search criteria are posted to the site. You only receive one email a day with all of the matching trailers. You can save your favorite ads so you can find them quickly. You can place ads. Access your My Account page at any time. Need help? Watch this video.

Creating & Managing Listings

Do I Have to Register to Create Listings?

Yes. You must be a registered user to create listings. Registration is free.

What Category Should I Put My listing In?

Choose the category that best fits.

I created a listing, but it does not show up in search results. Why?

You need to run your listing. Go to My Account and click on Run to the left of the listing you wish to run. The system will ask for your credit card information, and your listing will run as soon as your payment is processed.

How do I edit or update my ad?

Click on the pen tool from the My Account page to edit your ad text or images. Need help? Watch this video.

I sold my stuff. How do I update my ad?

Click on the pen tool from the My Account page to mark the trailer as sold. Need help? Watch this video.

Troubleshooting

My pictures will not load.

Images must be in jpg or png formats. If your images load very slowly or not at all, they may have too high a resolution. Try reducing the image file size, or contact us for assistance.

My pictures are visible in my set-up dashboard but they do not show up in the actual ad.

Make sure that you have an image in the first position. If an image is not uploaded into the first photo position, NONE of the photos will appear in the ad.

I think I received a scam email.

Scammers are everywhere. If it seems weird it probably is. I suggest you do not reply. If it is legitimate they will recontact or call. Here is a blog post we did about online scams.

Privacy

I don't want my name, phone number or email address to appear on your site. What should I do?

To hide all of your personal information when creating a listing, just do the following:

1. Answer "NO" to the question "Include Profile with Listing"

2. Do not enter your street address or phone number on the listing

This will keep all of your personal information private.

Someone interested in your listing will be able to contact you via anonymous email using the "Contact Advertiser" link on the site. The email address you enter for a listing is NOT shown on the site - it is used by the site to route anonymous contact requests to your email without making your email address visible to others.

If all my information is private how can a buyer contact me?

When your ad appears, instead of showing your contact information the following appears: "This seller has chosen to remain private. You may contact this seller via anonymous email by clicking here." The prospective buyer completes an on-line form and the system sends you an email without revealing your information to the prospective buyer.
