Description
It’s time to sell my dad’s old 1957 Airstream Bubble whale tail camper. He loved vintage trailers and fixed and sold many over the last 20 years as a retiree but this one was his favorite and he never let it go. The only history I know is that the Bubble was used as a communications station for the Navy around the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state before he bought it and returned it to “civilian” life. I’m not an expert of vintage Airstreams by any stretch but believe the camper is very original with the exception of the addition of 12 volt lights, battery, converter, and water pump. It has fresh water and black water tanks. He used to spend a lot of time polishing it and going to vintage trailer rallies around the Pacific Northwest. He bought and polished the nice aluminum propane tanks which match the body perfectly. I put on new tires and camped in it along the Oregon/California coast on the way to my home in Northern California in May. It is a joy to use. I would say it is in very good condition and is completely ready to use as is. There are some scrapes and dings in the body but nothing too big. Comes with a 2" receiver and stability damper for safe towing. Also included is the nice dual head electric polishing machine that Airstream people love to use to keep them mirror bright.
Interior includes: Kitchen with gas stove-top and oven, sink, and icebox; bathroom with toilet and sink; table seats 2 comfortably, 4 tightly; full sized bed.
