Description

There is no Astrodome for sale currently in the USA, this is the only one!

This sixty three year old trailer has been in our family forever, and it is still the coolest trailer I have ever owned and I have had every kind. The interior is all wood with nothing painted over and hidden. We all know there is no modern-day camper that will still be in use sixty plus years from now. This is not a perfect unit but, it's pretty amazing for its age.

I have upgraded this camper in a way that improves its usability and safety while retaining its vintage original and wonderful charm. It is titled in my name and has current tabs.

The word Astro refers to the cab-over and the word Dome refers to the room with the toilet. One of my little brothers studied for the bar exam in this trailer one summer with it parked down at the lake and yes, he passed the exam and he retires in three years! It has been used a guest cabin, a quiet reading area, a changing room for swimming, a game room and of course a camper. After 63 years it is still going strong. With three sleeping areas and two eating areas this camper can accommodate the whole family.

Originally designed with a couch across the front, this area has been remodeled into a booth drastically improving usability and allowing for storage under the seating area. This camper has a lot of storage for its size with generous cabinetry and like a class c motorhome the overhead bunk can be used for storage when not being used for sleeping.

This Astrodome weighs 2100 pounds and has a 300 pound tongue weight. It is 16 feet long, 7 feet wide and 8’ 6” feet tall.

Some of the features of this camper include:
-All of the windows, visors and rails were removed, cleaned and polished.
-All of the rails, skin and roofing was removed. It is the ONLY way to find the hidden problem areas!
-All damaged areas were repaired by a retired carpenter.

The booth becomes an 82” by 42” bed and the upper bunk is an 82” by 48” bed.
-The wheel bearings and spindles have been cleaned and re-packed and the tires are new.

or game play and stows away in the closet when not in use.

your little ones need to use it during the night.
