Description
Are you in the market for a one of a kind, quality built handmade teardrop trailer?

Built in 1945, the aluminum skin of this tear drop was salvaged directly from a World War II B-24 Liberator “Flying Boxcar” bomber by a retired air force body mechanic and riveted onto a steel frame just like the airplane. The original patina is untouched and fantastic. It is mounted on a new welded heavy duty frame and axle with over a foot and a half clearance making it ideal for traveling through rough terrain or off road. The new frame has approximately 4 feet of deck space so you can mount any number of accessories to your liking. The total weight of the trailer is less than 1100 pounds. Tires are 2 years old with less than 1000 miles. Trailer lights work great.

There is a watertight roof vent.

Extra tall inside…. 57” floor to ceiling so plenty of head room….not coffin-like, like so many teardrops.

Doors on both sides with screens….NICE!

Inside mattress is 6” memory foam and is 48 x 73.
Overhead cabinets and shelf front and rear w lots of storage.

Rear hatch area houses an original (removable) Tourist kitchen.

There is 12V wiring but no current battery and lights are untested. I use a Jackery and rechargeable interior lanterns.

Roof rack included but not shower room or dirt bike rack on tongue.

This is a true museum piece. Who knows what countries this “skin” flew over and where the bomber dropped its payloads? It sure is something to think about…..

The trailer comes with a Bill of Sale but with a deposit on the full asking price I will take it through the DMV/CHP process and get a clean CA license and Title to transfer to your name.
Or….make an offer, and take care of it yourself.
Sold as is, where is with no warranties.
